Cool Downloads for Webmasters

I have placed several downloads on this page which are either web traffic related, or are good tools for web design. These are files and programs which I have either collected or are from reseller packages, and I have just opted to give them away rather than sell them. Quite a few of these are hard to find. Feel free to take anything you like.

Traffic Overdrive (eBook in PDF format)

Other than ensuring that you have a great product to sell, you need to focus on generating TARGETED traffic. If you already have a site and you want think that you're not getting the traffic that you're supposed to be getting, then it is time to own a copy of Traffic Overdrive. In Traffic Overdrive, you will discover a variety of free and low-cost traffic building methods that are not only time-tested but proven as well.

PHP Autosurf Autohits Traffic Exchange Script

This is a common script webmasters will see being used for autosurf and autohits traffic exchanges (it doesn't matter what you call it, it is still the same thing). Now you can run your own traffic exchange, for free, and even charge for premium memberships. You will need hosting on a Unix server, PHP 4 or better, and a MySQL database in order to run the script.

This is another autosurf traffic exchange script using PHP. It is similar to the previous script. Play with both of them and see which one you like.

eBook Creator Software (HTML Compiler)

A handy way to not only attract visitors to your site, but to bring them back as well, is to offer freebies, such as a free eBook they can download. The eBook Creator is a small portable software (no installation necessary) which you can use to compile your HTML pages into a handy eBook.

Instant Site Maker Software

Need a site made quickly, or looking to create an ideal minisite? The Instant Site Maker will do just that. Enter the information and links you want on your page and instantly have it made for you.

For some stupid reason, the majority of downloads of this software are effectively spyware. If you try to close the program, it will stay open in the background, spin the hell out of your hard drive, and try to read the contents of the drive. I have succeeded in finding a clean copy which does not do that.

This is portable software, so there is no need to install it. Just run the software and create a site.

Portable WYSIWYG HTML Editor

For any webmaster looking for an HTML editor which can run off of a flash drive on any version of Windows from 95 up, this may fit the bill. It has a tabbed interface allowing you to switch between preview and code modes, as well it is set up like a word processor allowing easy web design for anybody. It is light on resources and small; it is a 99KB executable (27KB zipped).

Free Image Editing Tools

Need a simple image editor to customize your images, and one that is light on resources? Give Visua a try. It is long in the tooth (meaning 'old' for you young whippersnappers) but it has quite a few tools for an editor which is less than a 500kb download. No installation is necessary; just unzip and run it.

Need to add text to an image (oh, like a free banner) but your freeware image editor doesn't have that capability? Not to worry; Mprinter is a free tool specifically designed for adding text to images. Add this to your arsenal of web tools and get many tasks accomplished without having to spend a penny.

Paint Studio Lite is an oddity in that the designer of it is frankly an incompetent designer, yet, even a fool can get something right. This program is handy for webmasters as it is one of the few freeware image editors which also has a text feature which allows you to add text to your images, plus it has an array of other image editing tools making it a complete image editor for webmasters. It is limited to JPEG, GIF, and BMP files. In order to save a file as other than a BMP, you have to click on the 'optimized' tab first. Even though this is called 'lite', it is the only version of this program; there is no pro version.

IrfanView is simply one of the handiest image viewers/editors to have. Easy to use, light on resources, and comprehensive in scope. I mostly put this here for my own purpose, as it is available all over the internet, but feel free to download it if you want it.

Cut & Paste JavaScript, CSS, and HTML The Easy Way

You can spend a lot of time searching the internet to find JavaScripts or CSS and HTML tutorials to add code to your pages, or you can use these tools (are free at that) to create the effects, boxes, iframes, and codes you want; just cut and paste the code into your pages and you are ready to go.

Create your own content boxes with StyleBoxCSS. Code and customize iframes with ifCoder. Have your own collection of JavaScripts handy with Java Machine 1 & 2. Create your own CSS style sheets and effects with CSS Machine. And, most of all, have fun.

How About Some Free Web Templates?

Now where would webmasters be without free templates? From starting a site to providng a layout for a quick site, web templates are an invaluable resource, and even more so when they are free.

The two packages I have are common packages you can find on sale at various websites, but you can get them for free here. The 306 Templates package is exactly what it says: 306 templates. The Adult Templates and More package contains dozens of cool templates including about a dozen templates for adult sites (which means the headers have nudity; just in case you really needed me to point that out to you).

Free Banners, Headers, and Logos For Your Site

Been looking to make a banner to promote your site, but it is just not looking very good? Or, perhaps, you just want to save time? Maybe you need a header for your pages? Download these collections of banners, headers, and logos which you can customize any way you want. These files are in JPEG and GIF format which will allow you to edit them in any image editor. You can use the Mprinter or Paint Studio Lite programs from above to add text to any of these images.

Complete Turnkey Websites with eBooks

Want a complete website that is your own, without having to do anything? A turnkey (not turkey) website is designed to sell a product for you either by affiliation with the provider or, in this case, by allowing you to provide a product for download which can be purchased from you. These sites are for eBooks and come complete with the site and eBooks included. Get some hosting, upload the site, promote it, and you are ready to go. Customize it if you like as well.

*I modified the Auto website as the code was messed up and it was feeding images off of a remote server. It now pulls images from its own images folder and does not contain three sets of body and html tags.
